Juniors Alexa Singer, Jenny Young, and Sarah Ingerick along with freshman Alyssa Yungwirth were just named to the Pennsylvania High School Coaches Softball Association (PaHSCSBA) all-state softball team.
Ingerick was a 2nd team selection at shortstop, Yungwirth was a 2nd team selection at second base, while Singer was an honorable mention pitcher and Young was an honorable mention outfielder.
"To be selected to the all-state team is a great accomplishment, all of their hard work and dedication has paid off," said head coach Greg Carr. "It was a special season for a group of really special kids! They should be proud of everything they have accomplished this year. I know I'm proud of all of them."
"It's an honor to be recognized at this level," Ingerick said. "There is a lot of good competition in the state and going to a small school it's hard to be recognized."
"This is an amazing honor," said Yungwirth. "I've been blessed to play with talented teammates this past season and against many other great players. Being chosen out of players throughout the state is a reflection of how hard my whole team played during the season. This is a great way to end a fantastic season."
WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate Alexa, Jenny, Sarah, and Alyssa on their selections and thank them for their hard work and dedication during the season.
