Canton's Heatley headed to Mansfield University.

It looks like another NTL All-Star will be a Mountaineer next season.
Canton's Chelsey Heatley recently signed a letter of intent to play softball for Mansfield University, joining four other players on the roster who played in the NTL.
"I really like the school," Heatley said about MU. "It's a good fit for me. I'm happy I found a team I can use my potential and grow with them."
She will be joining former Troy standouts Kate Pratt, Allie Earle and Amanda Goodwin along with Northeast Bradford's Nicole Emick.
The one thing that stood out was how much the team made her feel right at home.
"I really enjoyed the girls," Heatley explained. "I get along very good with them. They made me feel like I was already apart of their team."
This has been a long time coming for the Canton senior.
"I talked about Mansfield my junior year," she remarked. "I just went on an official visit and that's when I made my decision."
Heatley believes that she can help the team right away.
"I think I would be a great asset," she said. "I want to do pitching or I would play in the outfield. I'll just give it all I've got."
While the Mounties sport a strong pitching staff Heatley plans to continue working inside the circle.
"I would still work on my pitching as much as I could," she said.
Now that she has made a decision Heatley plans to work even harder.
"It helps me to push myself more and look forward to the college level," she remarked.
But first things first, she still has her final year at Canton to play this spring.
"I'm hoping to have success in my pitching career and also have good grades," Heatley said. "I'm trying to make it the best year I could possibly have."
She will be studying nursing.
