"Those are two really good teams we played," Northeast Bradford coach Gary Hennip said. "Our kids played really well. We've had a couple of injuries, and we fought through that.

"Chelsie pitched very well. The first couple of innings against Central Columbia they scored three runs, but she shut them down after that and the Minersville game she was dominating."

Getting a win over a team that beat them in states last year is something Hennip knows is good for his team's confidence.

"We played very well against them," he said. "They had four seniors I think graduate, but they are still a really good team. They are very well coached. The freshman pitching for them, is a very good pitcher. It's nice to get a quality win against a team like Minersville."
