Troy tops Athens.

2012 Troy vs. Athens SoftballEAST TROY - Troy's Kayla Stephani scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh to lead the Trojans past Athens 7-6 in NTL cross-over softball action Wednesday.

Stephani, who went 2-for-4 in the game, also had a 3-run home run in the fourth. Katie Jackson went 3-for-4 while Kelsey Bristol and Faith Ceely had two hits each. Bristol also had a double with two runs scored.

Brooke Mattocks added a hit as well.

Kara Schucker started for Troy, going five innings to allow five hits, one walk and six runs while Bethany Manley came on to get the win, going the final two innings to allow two hits with one strike-out.

For Athens, Mackenzie Hafer had the big bat, going 3-for-4 with a double while Kiersten Horton was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Jensen Dunkling, Christin Dunkling and Kaitlyn Serfass had one hit each with Serfass' hit coming as a double. Daddona and Jenn Wells each scored in the game.

Daddona started, going four innings to allow nine hits, six runs and one walk with two strike-outs while Christin Dunkling came on for the last two. She scored the loss, allowing one run on two hits.

Troy will travel to Wyalusing today for an early 4 p.m. start.

Wyalusing 8, Wellsboro 0

The Rams pounded out 13 hits and scored four runs in the first three innings and four more in the sixth on their way to a road victory.

Kasey DeVoir had three hits, with a double, an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases and Laci Holdren had three hits, with a double, a triple, a home run, three RBI and three runs scored.

Cathryn Pugh scored a run and Arielle Kneller had two hits, with an RBI and Ally DeVoir had a hit and an RBI. Cierra Holland had two hits, with a double, and Lauren Chadwick had two hits in the game.

Emily Faulkner went the distance on the mound, striking out nine and walking three.

Baylea Lehman had two hits for Wellsboro and Jordan Butters, Maggie Smith and Paige Carr all added hits in the win.

Smith worked three innings on the mound, striking out one, walking three and allowing four earned runs. Brooke Kohler worked four innings, striking out three, allowing four runs, two earned.

Wyalusing hosts Troy today with a 4 p.m. start.

NEB 12, Liberty 8

The Panthers scored 11 runs in the final three innings and held on as Liberty scored six seventh-inning runs to get the victory.

Calla Martin had three hits, with a double, a triple and three run scored, MaKaylah Holbert had three hits, with two stolen bases, an RBI and two runs scored and Haylie Phillips had two hits and three RBI.

Monica Brown scored two runs, Nicki Emick had a hit, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base and Courtney Coleman had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Aubri Mosier had four hits, with a home run, five RBI and a run scored.

Kelsey Goodwin had a double, Bridget Haverly, Chelsie Souto and Maddy Johnson had one hit each. Souto had a double and a run scored and Johnson scored a run and stole a base, while Mackenzie Moore scored a run.

Mariah Berguson scored a run for Liberty and Kasey Evans had two hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Rachel Strange had two hits, two runs scored, a double and three RBI and Katie Carrigan scored a run.

Brittany Crumb had a hit and two RBI and Maddie York had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Kortney Powlison scored a run in the game.

Nicole McCaslin worked 4 2/3 innings, striking out none, walking two and allowing eight hits and five earned runs. York pitched 2 1/3 innings, striking out three, walking one and allowing five hits and seven runs, six earned.

Phillips struck out two and walked seven in the complete game effort for the Panthers.

Northeast Bradford hosts CV on Friday.

Towanda 7, Williamson 0

The Black Knights got four hits, with two doubles, a triple, two runs scored and an RBI from Koryn Wickwire in the victory.

Laci Manning had a hit and Tori Welliver had three hits, with a double, three runs scored and two RBI.

Michelle Aronson had two doubles and an RBI and Emily Gorman had a hit and an RBI.

Raven Vargason had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Kylie Cazzassa had a hit and scored a run.

McKhenna Greenwalt and Brooke Greenwalt had hits for Williamson.

Kim Daugherty struck out one, walked three and allowed 13 hits and seven runs, six earned on the mound for Williamson.
