Wyalusing, Athens pick up softball wins.

Athens edged Canton 10-7 in NTL East softball play Thursday.

Jensen Dunkling went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored to lead the Wildcats while Christin Dunkling went 2-for-3 with a home run and 4-RBI.

Jen Wells went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for Athens while Mackenzie Hafer also had a hit and two runs scored.

Kaitlyn Serfass a run scored and RBI while Mackenzie Warner also scored a run.

Alexa Daddona scored the win for the Wildcats, going the distance to strike out one.

Canton had a good day too at the plate as Chelsea Heatley went 4-for-4 with a double, triple and an RBI while Morgan Palmer went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and 4-RBI.

Bridget Tracey went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI while Makenzy Route had a double and run scored.

Heatley scored the loss, going 3 2/3-innings to strike out two while allowing five hits and two earned runs. Kellsy Ross came on in relief, striking out two while allowing three hits, one walk and four earned runs.

Wyalusing 14, Sayre 4, 6 innings

Lauren Chadwick went 3-for-4 with three runs, 5-RBI and a double to lead the Rams.

Arielle Kneller went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Ally DeVoir, Cierra Holland, Emily Faulkner and Crystal Shirk also had hits.

Laci Holdren scored three times for Wyalusing while Cathryn Pugh, Brittany Smith and Shirk crossed home twice. Holland and Faulkner also scored.

Faulkner got the win, striking out seven while allowing four walks.

Rachel Hurley and Kelsey Young had doubles for Sayre while Maria Servedio also had a hit. She scored twice while Kristyn Tappan and Young had the other runs with Hurley garnering an RBI.

Tappan scored the loss, striking out four while allowing 10 walks.

CMVT 15, Sullivan County 0

The Griffins were no hit by CMVT in Heartland Conference softball action.

Alyssa Blasi took the loss for Sullivan, allowing 12 walks and 12 earned runs while striking out none.
