The Liberty softball team opened their season with a 15-0 victory over Sullivan County on Wednesday.
Madison York got the win on the mound for Liberty, while Alyssa Blasi pitched for the Griffins.
York had three hits, with a home run, a double and four RBI at the plate and Mariah Berguson had three hits, with two rBI, while Kristina Buchanon had two hits and two RBI, with a triple, and Katie Carrigan had two hits and two RBI.
The Griffins got two hits from Brianna Baumunk in the game.
Liberty hosts Bucktail on Friday.
