Northeast Bradford tops Wellsboro.

Northeast Bradford scored six runs in the top of the seventh to earn an 8-2 win over Wellsboro in NTL cross-over softball action Wednesday.

The Panthers led 2-0 going into the final inning before they broke it open. The Hornets would score twice in the bottom half of the seventh.

Maddy Johnson was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead the Panthers while Calla Johnson was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI.

Angelia Laudermilch, Julia Williams and Bridget Haverly also had hits with Laudermilch and Williams being doubles.

Chelsie Souto earned the win, striking out eight while allowing no walks and four hits.

Maggie Smith went 2-for-3 to lead Wellsboro while Baylea Lehman and Alexa Singer both went 1-for-2.

Singer started and earns the loss, going 6 1/3-innings to strike out two while issuing no walks. Smith finished out with no strikeouts or walks.

Wellsboro is at Liberty Friday while NEB hosts Sayre.

Edison 4, Tioga 1

The Tigers came up short against their IAC rivals in softball action Wednesday.

It was 1-1 after the first inning with the Spartans taking a lead in the fourth with two runs. They went up 4-1 after the fifth and coasted from there.

Sam Wood, Dani Barto and Britt Vergason had the three Tioga hits with Wood scoring off a Vergason RBI.

Wood scores the loss, striking out six while allowing three walks, all of which were intentional, seven hits and two earned runs.

Katelyn Warren had a first inning home run for Edison while Mackenzie Slaven scores the win. She struck out six with no walks.

Tioga hosts Candor today.

Canton 8, Sayre 4

The Warriors used early offense to beat the Redskins in NTL softball action Wednesday.

Canton scored six runs in the first two innings, then made it 7-0 after a run in the bottom of the fourth.

Sayre came back with four runs in the top of the sixth to cut it 7-4 but a Canton run in the bottom half of the inning made it 8-4.

Chelsey Heatley was 2-for-4 with two runs to lead the Warriors while Kayla Ward, Makenzy Route, Caitlin McFall and Lacy Castle also had hits.

Heatley and Castle scored twice while Ward, Kellsy Ross and McFall also crossed home with Route earning an RBI.

Heatley earned the win, striking out six while allowing one walk.

Rachel Hurley went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and 3-RBI to lead Sayre. Kristyn Tappan was 2-for-4 while Maria Servedio and Shelby Coolbaugh also had hits. Servedio, Coolbaugh and Paige Wampole scored.

Coolbaugh earns the loss, striking out two while allowing four walks.

Troy 8, Williamson 2

The Trojans jumped out early in their NTL softball win Wednesday.

They scored five runs in the first two innings in the win.

Kara Schucker had three hits, including a double, with 4-RBI to lead Troy while Faith Ceely had two hits with a run scored.

Kelsey Bristol, Kayla Stephani, Brooke Mattocks, Tiffani Mattocks and Taylor Johnston also had hits. Bristol scored three times, Stephani twice with Ceely, Tiffani Mattocks and Sara Hunsicker also scoring.

Brooke Mattocks added an RBI.

Bethany Manley went the distance for the win, striking out five while allowing on walk.

Sierra Magnotta and Katie Haslun had two hits each for the Warriors while Jamie Cook and Kim Daugherty also had hits. Daugherty and Haslund scored their runs.

Daugherty started and earns the loss, going the first five innings.

Andrea Regalbuto went the final two innings.

Troy will host Towanda Friday.

Notre Dame 8, Newark Valley 1

Olivia May struck out 14 and allowed one hit as the Cruasders picked up an IAC softball win Wednesday.

The Cardinals led 1-0 after four innings but Notre Dame scored all eight runs in the fifth for the win.

Mackenzie Maloney went 3-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Crusaders at the plate while May was 2-for-3 with a home run, 2-RBI and two runs scored.

Alivia Clark had a hit with 2-RBI and a run scored while Claire Spaulding and Ali Raupers also had hits. Spaulding and Raupers had one RBI each with Raupers also scoring a run.

Monica Cox, Monica Jerzak and Allie Steadman also scored with Steadman knocking in a run as well.

Alexalee Chaffee scored the lone Cardinal run off a Ciara Davison double.

Kirsten Chase scores the loss, striking out four while allowing three walks.

Waverly 13, Watkins Glen 4

A 6-run second inning propelled the Wolverines to an IAC softball win Wednesday.

Carmella Ruth (2-for-2), Kiana Manuel (2-for-4), Reylyn Schwartzhoff (2-for-3) and Stehpanie Bellis (2-for-4) had multiple hits in the game for Waverly.

Ruth's included a double and two runs scored, Manuel scored a run and had an RBI while Schwartzhoff scored twice with 2-RBI.

Shailei Kraft, Rebecca Morgan, Morgan Salsman, Samantha Mennig, Sabrina Bowman and McKhenna Mattison also had hits.

Bowman scored three times, Morgan scored twice while Megan Wilbur, Kraft and Salsman also scored.

Mennig had 3-RBI in the game wile Morgan and Bowman knocked in one runner each.

Kraft started and earns the win, going three innings to allow one hit, six walks and four earned runs with five strikeouts. Bellis finished out allowing just three hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Waverly improves to 10-0 on the season.

Athens 13, CV 2

The Wildcats got a two-hit effort from Katelyn Serfass on the mound in the victory on Wednesday.

Serfas struck out six and walked one, while hitting one batter, allowing two unearned runs in the victory.

At the plate Serfass was 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Mackenzie Hafer had two hits, with an RBI and two runs scored and Rica Dimon had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

Jensen Dunkling had a hit and scored a run and Christin Dunkling had two hits and three runs scored.

Miranda Peterson had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored and Morgan Westbrook had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Searah Kennedy had a double, two RBI and a run scored for Athens.

Shanelle Ianson struck out three and walked four, while allowing 12 hits in the game for CV in 6 1/3 innings. Taylor Hager pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing one run on one hit with one strikeout.

Becky Plummerand Kayla Schauder had hits for CV in the game, with Julia Brubaker getting an RBI and Plummer and Jessi Prutsman scoring runs.

Wyalusing 8, Liberty 1

The Rams got two runs in each the first, third, fourth and seventh innings in the victory.

Ally DeVoir had a double and two runs scored and Erin Canfield had a hit in the game, while Kasey DeVoir had a hit and scored three runs.

Arielle Kneller had two hits, with a triple, two runs scored and two RBI.

Ciera Holland had two hits and two RBI and Mackenzie Martin, Emily Faulkner and Crystal Shirk had hits, while Paighton Martin had two hits, with a triple, and a run scored.

Faulkner struck out five, walked none, hit one batter and allowed four hits on the mound.

Mariah Berguson had a home run in the fourth for Liberty's lone run.

Madi Wise had two hits for Liberty and Calyne Pino had a hit.

Maddie York struck out three, walked none and allowed 12 hits in the game for Liberty.

Wyalusing is at Athens on Friday.

Late Tuesday

Muncy 11, Sullivan County 0, 6 innings

The Griffins kept it close for the first four innings.

It was 0-0 after the first two before Muncy scored two in the bottom of the third. After a scoreless four Muncy pulled away with six runs in the fifth.

Addie Jordan, Shelby Zeller and Mackenzie Doyle had the three Sullivan hits.

Alyssa Blasi scores the loss allowing seven walks and six hits.

Sullivan County travels to Montgomery today.
