Canton falls to Muncy.

Canton left seven runners on base as they fell to Muncy 5-0 in District IV, Class A softball quarterfinal action Friday.

Muncy jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first, then held on for the win. They added a run in both the second and sixth innings.

Kayla Ward was 2-for-4 with two doubles while Kellsy Ross and Whitney Bailey had the other two hits.

Ross started and went the first inning, striking out two while allowing three hits, four walks and four earned runs.

Ward went the final five innings, allowing three hits, one walk and one unearned run.

Sarah Miller was 2-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs and an RBI to lead Muncy while Caitlin Dauberman was 2-for-3 with a double with an RBI.

Alexis Temple also had a double with a run scored and an RBI.

Amanda Kustanbauter earned the win, striking out 10 for the Indians while allowing four hits and two walks.
