EAST TROY - Kerrigan Hoffman scattered five hits as she helped Troy shut out Northeast Bradford 3-0 in NTL softball action on Monday.
Hoffman struck out two in the game and walked no one to get the victory.
Chelsie Souto walked the first batter of the game for Northeast Bradford and Annie Williams came on after that, working all seven innings, striking out three, walking one and allowing four hits.
Faith Ceely and Jerilyn Ross each had a hit and scored a run for Troy and Taylor Murray had two hits, with a double.
Kelsey Bristol scored a run for the Trojans and Kayla Stephani and Taylor Johnston had RBI in the game.
Maddy Johnson, Chelsie Souto, Calla Johnson, Angelia Laudermilch and Bridget Haverly had hits for NEB in the game.
NEB hosts Sayre today and Troy is at Wellsboro on Saturday.
WYSOX - The Black Knights erupted for eight runs in the sixth inning of the victory on Monday.
Sayre led 1-0 into the fifth as Kristyn Tappan drove home Kassandra Winters for a run in the fourth inning.
In the fifth Towanda tied the game when Koryn Wickwire doubled, stole third and scored on a Laciann Manning hit.
The game was tied in the sixth when Towanda came up with the big inning.
Manning had three hits and three RBI, with a run scored and Koryn Wickwire had a double, a stolen base and a run scored.
Emily Gorman, Sam Peachey and Alaina Wickwire had two hits each in the win.
Gorman had two RBI and scored a run, Wickwire had a double, a run scored and two RBI and Peachey scored a run and had an RBI.
Bella Bartholomew, Casey Hawley and Sarah Dawsey scored runs for Towanda.
Alaina Wickwire threw a two-hitter, striking out six and walking none. Tappan and Kate Cron had hits for Sayre. Winters struck out three on the mound.
Towanda is at Wyalusing on Wednesday.
Kyleigh Ward and Kate Epler had three hits each for the Rams in the win.
Ward had two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored and Epler had a double and scored a run.
Ally DeVoir scored a run and Erin Canfield had a hit and scored a run.
Kasey DeVoir had a double, a run scored and two RBI and Ciera Holland had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored.
Emily Faulkner had a hit and two RBI, Paighton Martin had an RBI, Ashley VanHorn scored a run and Maddy Eberlin had a double and a run scored.
Faulkner threw a four-hitter, striking out eight.
Kellsy Ross and Kayla Ward had doubles for Canton and Kelsey Griffin and Whitney Bailey added hits.
Ross started and worked 5 2/3 innings, striking out one and Ward got an out to end the last inning for the Warriors.
Liberty had runners on first and third with two outs down a run in the seventh, but Courtney Schauer got a strikeout to end the game for the Indians.
Schauer had two hits and a double, with two RBI and Julie Brubaker had two hits and an RBI for CV. Shanelle Ianson had a hit and two RBI.

Mariah Berguson had two hits, with a double and three RBI and Kristina Buchanan had two hits, with a double and two RBI for Liberty. Lauren Smith had two hits. Berguson pitched for Liberty.
Alexa Singer and Brooke Kohler combined on a two-hitter for the Green Hornets.
Singer allowed two hits and struck out three, walking three, in three innings and Kohler struck out two in two perfect innings.
Peyton Wilson was 2-for-2 with three RBI and a triple and Jordan Butters had two hits and two RBI.
Singer had a triple and four RBI and Sarah Ingerick, Maggie Smith, Paige Carr and Baylea Lehman each had a hit. Lehman had two RBI and Carr had an RBI.
Markie Everett and Makayla Buttz had hits for Williamson and Sarah Bates and Emma Durst pitched, striking out one.
