Tioga, ND softball claim IAC titles.

ITHACA, N.Y. - Sam Wood threw a two-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts, walking none, as Tioga picked up a 12-0 win over Moravia to capture the IAC Small School Softball Championship on Thursday.

Katelynn Stubbs had three hits, with two runs scored, a stolen base and an RBI for Tioga and Dani Barto scored a run and stole a base.

Wood had three hits, with a triple, three RBI and a run scored and Mariah Culver had two hits, with a triple and two runs scored.

Sarah Hollenbeck had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Sara Strong had a hit and a run scored.

Paige Hendershot had two hits, with a stolen base, and two runs scored for Tioga and Taylor Ayres had two hits, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases.

Notre Dame 6, Union Springs 0

Alivia Clark struck out 12 with a one-hitter for the Crusaders on Thursday.

Mackenzie Maloney had three hits for the Crusaders, with a run scored and Brooke Harvey had a triple, an RBI and two runs scored.

Izzy Milazzo had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored for Notre Dame and Mackenzie Mahajan scored a run, while Morgan Cox had an RBI.

Courtney Crater had a hit and scored a run and Ally Witchtowski had a hit, while Maura Glovins had two hits in the game.

Liberty 16, St. John Neumann 10

A year after winning just one game Liberty clinched a spot in districts on Thursday, improving to 10-8 with the victory.

Mariah Berguson had two home runs, a double and five RBI in the win and Abby Heatley had two hits and three RBI.

Britta Berguson had a double and a triple and two RBI and Emily Strange had two hits and three RBI.

McKenzie Payne had two hits with two RBI and Rebecca Rossell had a hit and two RBI.

Jillian Berguson had a hit and Emma Koppenhaven had two doubles and an RBI.

Mariah Berguson picked up her eighth win of the year on the mound.

Liberty hosts Sayre today.

Wyalusing 11, Canton 0, 5 innings

The Rams scored eight runs in the second inning of the win on Thursday.

Kyleigh Ward had a three-hit shutout for the Rams, striking out two and walking none.

Kate Epler had two hits, with a triple, a run scored and two RBI and Paighton Martin had a hit and scored a run.

Kasey DeVoir had two hits and scored two runs and Erin Canfield had a triple, two RBI and two runs scored.

Kayla Ward had a hit and an RBI and Sarah Bird scored a run.

Maddie Eberlin had a hit, three RBI and a run scored and McKenzie Krewson had a hit and a run.

Trinity Kipp had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.

Kelsey Griffin, Kayla Ward and Evelyn Katona all had hits for Canton.

Maggy Machmer started for Canton and Griffin and Ward each pitched in relief. The three combined to strike out two.

Wyalusing wraps up the regular season at 11-4 and will await the start of districts.
