The Athens softball team scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with a 4-3 win over Waverly on Thursday.
A 1-1 game through regulation, Waverly got two runs in the top of the ninth as Lyndsey Moore singled and then scored on an error, to put the Wolverines up 3-1.
Athens answered in the bottom half of the inning. Leah Reid started things with a single, and she came around to score and Aubrey Allen and Hayleigh Macik scored in the inning as Lexi Morley drove them home to give the Wildcats the win.
Reid, Allen, Macik and Kendra Brown had hits for Athens and Reid scored two runs, while Allen and Macik scored run. Morley had two RBI and Macik had an RBI.
Emma Adams struck out six in the win.
Waverly got three hits, with a double, from Shailei Kraft and Moore, Kendra Ellers, Wendi Hammond and Kali Herriman had two hits each.
Moore, VanNess and Hammond scored runs and Moore had an RBI.
Hammond struck out one and allowed four hits.
Edison won the playoff to capture the division title as Mckenzie Slaven threw a two-hitter, striking out seven in the win.
Courteney Crater and Maura Glovins had the Crusaders' hits in the game.
Glovins and Alivia Clark scored runs and Mackenzie Maloney had an RBI.
Clark pitched two innings, striking out one, and Izzy Milazzo struck out five in four innings of three-hit ball.
The Trojans scored three in the second and three in the fourth on their way to the win.
Nicole Spalding had three hits, two RBI and scored a run and Vanessa Watson had a hit and scored a run.
Kerrigan Hoffmann had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored and Erika Johnston had a hit and two RBI.
Roxanne Kingsley had a hit and scored a run and Elena Breese had two hits and scored a run.
Caitlyn Hoffmann had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Gabby Cory had a hit and scored two runs.

North Penn-Liberty qualified for districts and got their 100th victory in the program's history, while also beating the Rams for the first time ever in the win.
Savanna Doney struck out four in the win.
Britta Berguson had a two-run home run in the first and a two-run single in the second inning.
Freshman Brooke Harvey had three hits and an RBI and Abby Heatley had a hit and scored two runs.
Kristina Buchanan had a hit and Rebecca Rossell had an RBI.
Lauren Smith had a hit and Emily Strange and Carmen Bates each had two hits with an RBI, while Jillian Berguson had an RBI.
