SAYRE -- The Redskins walked off with a 9-8 win over Williamson in NTL softball action on Tuesday.
Paige Wampole came to bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh and hit a single up the middle to bring home Rory Tigue with the winning run.
Sayre trailed 8-4 after five innings, but scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh to win.
Kaitlynn McCarter had two hits, two RBI, a double and two runs scored. On the mound, she struck out five.
Sydney Post had a hit and an RBI and Wampole had two hits and an RBI.
Kate Cron had two hits, a triple, an RBI and a run scored and Dominique Woodruff had a hit and an RBI.
Alia Post and Camryn Brown had two hits each and scored two runs — Brown with a double — and Rory Tigue had three hits, two RBI and two runs scored, with a double.
Sarah Bates had two hits, a double, an RBI and a run scored for Williamson and Makayla Butz had two hits and scored two runs, with a double.
Kendra Colegrove had two hits, a triple, an RBI and two runs scored and Sam Herrington had a hit and scored a run.
