SAYRE -- The Wellsboro softball team scored five runs in both the second and third innings on their way to a 17-2 win over Sayre in five innings on Tuesday.
Sarah Ingerick led the Green Hornets, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, three runs scored and a double.
Jenny Young was 3-for-3 with an RBI and four runs scored — including a double — and Darci Warriner had three hits and an RBI.
Alexa Singer, Brianne Keane, Kaytee Kemp and Heidi Zuchowski all had hits for Wellsboro in the game.
Keane and Zuchowski scored a run and Kemp had a run scored and an RBI.
Hailey Neal had an RBI, Alyssa Yungwirth had an RBI and a run scored, and Emma Poirier had three runs scored, while Kailee Clymer scored two runs and Sydney Tremper scored a run.
Sayre got two hits, with a double, from Rory Tigue and Paige Wampole had two hits.
Kaitlynn McCarter, Dominique Woodruff and Reaghan Zurn all had hits for Sayre in the game. Alia Post scored a run in the game for the Redskins.
Signer struck out three in two innings for Wellsboro, and Yungwirth struck out seven in three innings.
McCarter struck out one in five innings for Sayre.
The Panthers got a 3-for-3 day from Katie Boardman in the victory.
Gabby Slater pitched 6 2/3 innings on the mound, striking out 10, and Taya Howell had one strikeout in 1/3 of an inning.
Boardman had an RBI and a run scored and Megan Brown and Danielle Moore each had two hits for the Panthers. Moore had a double and both her and Brown had an RBI and a run scored.
Jaycee Brown had a double and an RBI and Dana Koontz, Slater and Hannah Dum all had hits, with Slater scoring a run.
The Warriors got a 4-for-4 day with a home run and two RBI from Maggy Machmer in the loss.
Lauren Watkins had three hits, with two RBI and Brooke Ward had two hits, two stolen bases and scored two runs.
Sidney Wheeler had a triple and two RBI.
Haley Gyurina was 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, two steals and two runs scored to lead Muncy and Nikki Scott had two doubles and two RBI.
Evelyn Katona and Machmer pitched for Canton in the game.
