Williamson downs Galeton to reach districts.

Williamson used a big sixth inning to beat Galeton 10-4 in non-league softball action Friday.

The Warrior win grants them a playoff berth.

Tied at 4-4 Williamson scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull away for the win against a Tiger team that has 12 wins on the year.

Hannah Fitzmartin led the Warriors, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

Sarah Bates and Hannah Deacon both had doubles. Bates scored and knocked in two runs while Deacon scored twice.

Kendra Colegrove, Andrea Regalbutto and Kailee Shaefer also had hits. Colegrove and Regalbutto both scored and knocked in a run while Shaefer crossed home.

Emma Durst and Sam Harrington both scored with Durst also getting an RBI.

Durst got the win, striking out six while allowing three walks and nine hits.

Makaya Shadle scores the loss for Galeton with seven strikeouts and 10 walks. She was 2-for-3 with a run scored at the plate.

Wellsboro 2, Coudersport 0

Alexa Singer and Alyssa Yungwirth combined for a 2-hitter as the Hornets completed a suspended game in non-league softball action Friday.

Singer went the first two innings striking out three with two walks while Yungwirth finished out with nine strikeouts and one walk.

Jenny Young (2-for-2) and Sarah Ingerick (2-for-3) each had multiple hits in the game with Ingerick also getting an RBI.

Darci Warriner and Sydney Tremper also had hits with Tremper's a double. Warriner knocked in a run as well.

Wellsboro will compete in districts next week to defend their title.

Liberty 14, Sullivan County 0

Kristina Buchanan got the win on the mound, striking out eight in five innings as Liberty is headed to districts for the second year in a row after finishing a 13-5 regular season.

Brooke Harvey had two hits, with a double and an RBI and Savanah Doney had two hits with a triple and an RBI.

Britta Berguson had three hits and Emily Strange had two hits and an RBI.

Carmen Bates had two hits and Becca Rossell had two hits with a double. Jillian Berguson and Lauren Smith had RBI for Liberty.

Chandra Thomas pitched for the Griffins.

NEB 12, Sayre 0

The Panthers scored six runs in the first inning on the way to the win.

Gabby Slater threw a three-hitter for the Panthers, striking out 11 in the win.

Megan Brown had a hit and scored a run for the Panthers and Slater had two hits.

Taya Howell had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored and Annie Williams had an RBI and two runs scored.

Danielle Moore had a double, an RBI and two runs scored and Katie Boardman had a double, two RBI and three runs scored.

Hannah Dum had a hit and scored two runs and Mckenna Wheaton had an RBI.

McKenzie Haight had two hits and two RBI and Jaycee Brown had two hits, with a double, and two RBI.

Kate Cron had two hits and Reaghan Zurn had a hit for Sayre.

Kaitlynn McCarter struck out four on the mound for the Redskins.
