Notre Dame edges Edison.

A Mackenzie Maloney single brought home Mackenzie Mahajan with the winning run as Notre Dame rallied past Edison 5-4.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning with Edison cutting it to 2-1 after the fourth.

The Lady Spartans then scored three runs in the top of the sixth to take a 4-2 lead. The Crusaders tied it up in the bottom of the sixth before their seventh inning heroics.

Mackenzie Maloney was 3-for-4 on the day with a triple and two runs scored.

Jordyn Fargo went 2-for-3 while Courteney Crater had a solo home run.

Izzy Milazzo, Peyton Maloney and Megan Niles also had hits with Ally Wichtowski scoring a run. Niles, Peyton Maloney and Milazzo each knocked in a run as well.

Milazzo got the complete game win, striking out five while allowing seven hits, one walk and four earned runs on 99 pitches.

Athens 9, Canton 5

A four-run seventh inning propelled the Lady Wildcats to the NTL softball win Tuesday.

Athens led 4-1 when Canton scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. The Wildcats tied it with a run in the sixth before their big outburst in the final inning.

Emma Adams was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored to lead Athens while Mackenzie Strobridge was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Aubrey Allen had a triple with two runs while Reagan Lynch, Mimi Martin, Leah Reid and Haley Barry also had hits.

Martin scored twice and knocked two runs in, Lynch and Reid both scored and had an RBI, Morgan Ferguson scored twice while Strobridge and Barry each knocked in a run.

Megan Bennett went the distance in the win, striking out five while allowing 11 hits, three walks and five runs, four of them earned, on 126 pitches.

Hannah Gilliland had the big bat for the Warriors, going 2-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs and 3-RBIs while Lauryn Watkins was 2-for-4.

Brooke Ward was 3-for-4 with a run scored while Evelyn Katona and MacKayla Wesneski also had hits.

MacKayla Wesneski knocked in two runs while Hailey Wesneski and Katona both scored.

Katona scored the loss, striking out seven while allowing 10 hits, four walks, nine runs, but only two were earned, on 142 pitches.

North Penn-Liberty 5, St. John Neumann 0

Mountie pitcher Savanah Doney tossed a 1-hitter as NP-Liberty picked up a non-league win.

She struck out seven.

Lauren Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and 2-RBIs for the Mountaineers while Emily Strange was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.

Carmen Bates had a double with an RBI while Doney, Liz Williams and Emma Williams also had hits.

Emma Williams added an RBI.
