Sayre softball edges Sullivan, 16-14.

Sayre scored four first-inning runs and added nine in the second on their way to a 16-14 victory over Sullivan County on Thursday night.
The Griffins had a big 11-run fourth inning to tie the game at 14, but Sayre added two runs in the sixth for the victory.
In the sixth Paige Wampole and Angeles James each scored for the Redskins to help them get the victory.
Kelly Villanti had two hits and scored three runs for Sayre and Kaitlyn Tappan had a hit and scored a pair of runs.
Maria Servedio had a pair of hits, with a double, and scored two runs and Kristyn Tappan had a home run and a double among her four hits, scoring twice for Sayre.
Rachel Hurley had a hit and scored a run and Wampole had three hits and scored three runs, while Kelsey Young had a hit and scored a run.
James had three hits and scored two runs and Shely Coolbaugh had a triple in the game.
Coolbaugh started on the mound for Sayre and Kristyn Tappan finished pitching for Sayre. The two struck out six and walked five.
Alyssa Blasi pitched for Sullivan County, striking out two and walking 12.
Shelby Zeller had two doubles, three RBI and two runs for the Griffins and Brianna Baumunk had three hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
Addie Jordan had a pair of hits, an RBI and scored two runs and Emily McMahon scored two runs, while Sadie Lewis had two hits and scored two runs.
Torie Shultz had a double in the bottom of the first that scored Baumunk and Jordan to help the Griffins cut the four-run first inning deficit in half by the time the inning ended.
Down 13-2 in the top of the third and facing the possibility of a 15-run mercy rule, the Griffins set the Redskins down in order and they got a run in the bottom of the third and 11 more in the fourth to tie the game, before Sayre got the two winning runs in the sixth.
South Williamsport 6, Wellsboro 2
South got three in the first inning and scored in each of the first four innings on their way to the victory.
Maggie Smith had a triple and an RBI for Wellsboro and Alexa Singer had a hit and scored a run.
Jenny Young had a hit and an RBI.
Singer and Brooke Kohler pitched for Wellsboro and Anna Steer got the win for South.
Rachel Floyd had two hits and scored two runs for South and Jourdan Boehmner had two hits and an RBI, with a run scored.
