The Towanda Black Knights picked up their first win of the season as they went 1-1 at the Williamsport softball tournament Saturday.
They lost to Union Endicott 3-0 in their opener.
Maddie Doss, Courtney Ritts and Bella Bartholomew all went 1-for-3 for the Lady Knights.
Jayde Parsons scored the loss, going six innings to strike out three while allowing four hits, three walks and three runs.
Then in the second game they beat Archbishop Wood 5-3.
Larissa Terry went 2-for-2 with 2-RBI for Towanda while Rachel Bair was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Doss (1-for-4), Kenzie Roof (1-for-3) and Sam Peachey (1-for-3) all had hits in the game.
Cassie Walker scored twice while Doss also crossed home.
Peachey added an RBI while Doss had two steals.
Parsons got the win, striking out six while allowing four hits, one walk, three runs and one hit batsman.
The Black Knights host Wellsboro Monday.
The Warriors couldn't overcome a slow start as they fell in non-league softball action Saturday.
Muncy led 5-1 after two innings. While Canton chipped away later in the game, including a 3-run sixth, they couldn't quite get over the hump.
Kelsey Griffin went 3-for-4 with a double, run scored and an RBI to lead the Lady Warriors while Maggy Machmer was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Lacy Castle also had a double with a run scored with Lauryn Watkins also getting a hit with a run scored and an RBI.
Sidney Wheeler scored a run while Joslyn Spencer knocked one in.
Griffin started and went two innings for the loss, striking out one while allowing four hits, four runs, two earned and one walk.
Kayla Ward went the rest of the way, striking out two while allowing three hits, three runs, none earned and two walks.
Hayley Gyurina led Muncy with a 2-for-4 day with a run scored while Nicole Scott had a triple with 2-RBI.
Katherine Ebner scored the win, striking out one.
