WYSOX - The Troy softball team scored runs in five of the seven innings on their way to a 9-1 win over Towanda on Monday.

Taylor Johnston had a two-run home run for Troy and Brooke Mattocks had a pair of hits, with three runs scored and a double.

Jerilyn Ross and Kerrigan Hoffman combined for a one-hitter on the mound for the Trojans, striking out 10.

Kelsey Bristol scored a run for Troy and Faith Ceely had a stolen base and scored a run.

Taylor Murray had a double for the Trojans and Brooke Losey-Root had a hit and scored a run.

Marissa Jarrell had a pair of hits for Troy and Eleena Breese scored a run.

Justine Vargason had Towanda's hit and Madi Doss scored their runs.

Casey Hawley started for Towanda, with Vargason pitching in relief.

CV 11, Sayre 0, 6 innings

SAYRE - The Indians scored five runs in the first two innings on their way to the win.

Kayla Schauer had a three hit day, with a double and a run scored for the Indians.

Maddy Hatch had a pair of hits and scored three runs and Becky Plummer had a hit and scored two runs for CV.

Jessi Prutsman had a double and scored two runs and Madison Lee had a hit and scored a run.

Taylor Hager had a triple and Whitney Earl had a pair of hits, with a double, and a run scored.

Amaya Walker had a double and Madeline Heyler had a hit and scored a run for CV.

Hatch pitched and held Sayre to three hits, striking out four.

Sam Herrington had a 3-for-3 day with an RBI and two runs scored and Makayla butz had a double and scored a run.

Sara Bates, Kendra Colegrove and Megan Wyble all had a hit, an RBI and a run scored in the win.

Emily Hackett and Hannah Fitzmartin each had a hit and scored two runs and Kailee Shaefer had a hit, a run scored and two RBI.

Bates struck out four, allowing eight hits.

Canton got a 3-for-3 day from Joslyn Spencer, with a double, two RBI and a run scored.

Sidney Wheeler had a hit and scored a run and Vanessa Wesneski had two hits and a run scored.

Maggy Machmer and Lacey Castle each had a hit.

Kayla Ward and Kelsey Griffin pitched for Canton, with Griffin striking out four.

Athens 12, Liberty 3

Athens got nine runs in the seventh inning to pick up the win on Monday.

The game was tied at three after six innings before the Wildcats exploded in the final inning.

Lexi Morley had three hits and three RBI for Athens and Kaitlyn Testen had three hits and an RBI.

Mackenzie Warner had a pair of hits and Aubrey Allen had two hits, wtih three RBI. She broke the game open with a two-run single in the seventh.

Liberty got two hits each from Britta Berguson and Abby Heatley. Berguson had a double and an RBI and Heatley scored a run.

Mackenzie Payne, Jillian Berguson and Delaney Colton each had hits, with Colton driving in a run.

NEB 8, Montrose 3

The Panthers scored five runs in the fifth to break the game open on Monday.

Maddy Johnson was 3-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI, and a stolen base and Annie Williams had two hits, a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Katie Boardman scored two runs and McKenna Wheaton had a hit and an RBI, while Dana Koontz scored a run.

Julia Williams had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Danielle Moore had a hit and an RBI.

MEgan Brown had a double and Gabby Slater had a hit and scored a run, while Shelby Park had a hit and an RBI.

Williams pitched five innings, striking out one and Slater pitched two innings of relief.

TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. - Dani Barto had a home run among her two hits to help lead Tioga to the win on Monday.

Barto scored a run and had two RBI. Kaitlyn Stubbs had two hits and scored a run and Sam Wood had a hit and scored four times.

Britt Vergason had a hit and Mariah Culver had two hits, with a triple, two RBI and a run scored.

Sarah Hollenbeck had a hit and two RBI and Paige Hendershot had an RBI, while Taylor Ayres scored a run.

Wood went five innings, allowing four hits and one unearned run, with no walks, striking out seven. Culver struck out six in two innings walking one.

Sam Mennig tossed a one-hitter, striking out 12 in the victory on Monday.
