WYSOX — The game was tied into the fifth, but North Penn-Liberty pulled away for a 14-2 win over Towanda in NTL softball action on Monday.
Savanah Doney had a single, double and triple, with four RBI and four runs scored, and she struck out seven on the mound.
Jillian Berguson had three hits and scored three runs, and Brooke Harvey had two hits and scored three runs.
Mariah Kshir, Emily Strange, Lauren Smith, Emma Williams and Mackenzie Heater had hits for Liberty.
Justine Vargason had a double for Towanda and Madi Doss had two hits.
Sydney Schoonover had two hits and Larisa Terry and Vanessa Vanderpool had hits. Emily Dunn had a hit and Kourtney Dunn and Cearra McLinko scored runs.
Vargason pitched four innings, allowing two hits, with two strikeouts. Kaylee Fulmer, Emily Dunn and Larissa Terry pitched in relief.
The Trojans scored three runs in the eighth inning to get the victory on Monday, beating Wyalusing 7-4.
After Wyalusing scored a first-inning run, Troy scored three in the third and fourth innings to take the lead.
Wyalusing took the lead back with three in the fifth, before Troy tied it in the sixth and won it in the eighth.
Caitlyn Hoffmann had three hits, with a double, for Troy, and Riley McClellan had two hits and scored two runs.
Nicole Spalding had a hit and scored two runs and Erika Johnston had a hit and scored a run. Rachael Manley and Vanessa Watson each scored a run and Gabby Cory and Brianna Rathbun had hits.
Hoffmann and Watson pitched for Troy in the win.
Kyleigh Ward had three hits — with two doubles and two runs scored — for Wyalusing, and she struck out six on the mound.
Sarah Bird had two hits and scored a run and Taylor Schum had two hits.
Trinity Kipp and Daphne Fassett each had hits and Fassett had two RBI. Lexi Schoonover had a double and Autumn Dietz scored a run
Edison and Waverly stayed tied inning after inning into the ninth when Edison came away with a pair of runs to get the win.
Waverly scored in the first inning to start things off before Edison scored two in the second. Waverly tied things in the third and that's how the game stayed until the ninth.
Wendi Hammond struck out seven, throwing all nine innings. At the plate, she had three hits and scored two runs. Hammond had a double and a triple in the game.
Riley Hall had two hits, with a double and an RBI, and Shailei Kraft and Kari VanAllen each had hits.
Bella Willsey struck out 10 for Edison in the game.
The Panthers scored in five of the six innings they batted in the win.
Megan Brown had three hits and scored three runs, and Katie Boardman had three hits, with two doubles, and three RBI.
McKenna Wheaton had three hits, three RBI and scored two runs and Gabby Slater had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Taya Howell had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored, and Annie Williams had an RBI and scored a run, while Jenna Hansen scored a run.
Slater allowed three hits and struck out five in the win.
Makayla Wesneski had a double for Canton, and Lauryn Watkins had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, while Hannah Gilliland had a hit. Evelyn Katona had an RBI and Hailey Wesneski scored a run.
Katona struck out two in the game.
Kendra Colegrove had three hits, five RBI and scored two runs for Williamson in the win, and Brianna Padgett had two hits and scored three runs.
Emma Durst had two hits and scored three runs and she got the win on the mound, striking out six.
Makayla Butz had a double and scored a run and Ella Durst had two hits.
Kylee Butz, Micaiah Welch and Keira McCormick had hits and Emylee Yusko scored a run.
Sayre got three hits, with a double — an RBI from Domi Woodruff and Alia Post had two hits, with an RBI.
Kaitlynn McCarter had a double and Makayla Mullen had an RBI. Reaghan Zurn and Kate Cron each had a hit and Camryn Brown had a double.
McCarter struck out seven in the game.
Alyssa Yungwirth threw a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts for the Green Hornets in the win.
Ryann Adams had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored for Wellsboro, and Yungwirth had two hits, two RBI, a double and two runs scored.
Sydney Tremper had a hit, two RBI and a run scored and Cathryn Brought had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.
Brianne Keane had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Tiana Lecker had a hit and scored a run.
