Coaching Bio
Coach Lanphear is entering her first year as head coach for the Wellsboro Middle School softball team. She is a graduate of Canton Area School District and a former college softball pitcher for Mansfield University.
Coach Lanphear has many years' experience playing softball, including state championships in 1996 (PA Little League) and in 2000 (PIAA Class A). After her high school career, she attended Mansfield University and continued her pitching career. She graduated from Mansfield University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2012, she graduated from Duquesne University with her Master of Science in Nursing with a primary focus as a family nurse practitioner. She has worked in many areas of medicine, including Emergency Nursing/Medicine, Flight Nursing, and now in Primary Care/Family Medicine since 2014 locally at the Guthrie Medical Group.
In addition to coaching middle school softball, Coach Lanphear has coached softball for the Wellsboro Little League and is planning to coach the upcoming season with the Wellsboro Senior Little League softball team.
Coach Lanphear currently resides in Wellsboro with her husband Eric, and her two children, Riley and Blake.
