Hornet Softball picks up first win of season

The Wellsboro softball team picked up their first win of the season last night as they defeated Cowanesque, 10-3. Sophomore Maggie Smith picked up the win as she recorded 6 strikeouts and allowed 5 hits. Offensively, Jordan Butters and Maggie Smith each went 2-4 and Smith drove in 2 runs.
With the win, the Hornets are now 1-0 (1-0 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Monday, Arpil 9, as they host Liberty.
