JV softball splits with Canton

The Wellsboro JV softball team split a double header with Canton Thursday afternoon.
In the first game, the Lady Hornets recorded six hits and Freshman Alexa Singer struck out six batters to help the Hornets win, 5-4. In the second game, the Lady Hornets fell to Canton 14-7. Sophomore Jordan Butters pitched 3 innings, and Freshman Sarah Ingerick pitched the final two.
With the split, the Lady Hornets are now 1-3 on the year. The team will be back in action tonight, Friday 19 as they travel to Troy.
