Lady Hornets Held Scoreless In Loss To Troy

Troy scored 13 runs over five innings to hand the Wellsboro Varsity Softball team an NTL Large School Division loss on Tuesday, April 22.
Olivia Champluvier allowed just one hit on the day, a single by sophomore Mazie Johnson, while striking out 5 and walking one for the win.
Senior Paige Logsdon was on the losing end from the mound, allowing 13 runs on 13 hits with 4 walks and a strikeout.
Both teams also played a JV game after the Varsity contest, with Troy winning 10-3. Freshmen Lacie Brutsman and Madalynn Flannery, and sophomore Alexis Passmore had Wellsboro's three hits in the game while Brutsman (2) and Flannery scored.
Wellsboro falls to 3-6 (2-6 NTL Large School Division). They host rival North Penn-Liberty Thursday afternoon.
